基于网络路径测量的IP地理定位技术

IP Geolocation Technology Based on Network Path Measurement

摘要: 网络新技术应用对准确的了解网络实体的位置提出了要求,IP地理定位技术就可以满足这一需求。介绍了IP 定位技术的基本概念和相关应用,研讨了现有的IP地理定位技术,并提出了一种基于网络路径测量的IP地理定位方法,该方法通过测量测量观测点到目标IP的路径和时延,变换测量数据包的大小推断路径距离,结合路径之间的关系定位目的IP的地理位置。通过建立实验环境,对提出的IP定位方法进行了实验验证,并与其他方法进行了比较,表明该方法可以更加精确的定位IP的地理位置。

Abstract: Abstract: The appearance of new applications such as Internet advertising sets forth requirements for the position on accurate understanding of network entities, and IP Geolocation technology can meet this demand. This paper introduces the basic concepts of IP positioning technology and related applications, describes the existing IP Geolocation technology, and then proposes a IP Geolocation method based on network path measurements. The method estimates the geographic location of IP by measuring paths and delay from observation point to destination IP, converting the measurement packet size inferred path distance and combining the relationship of paths. This paper establishes a experimental environment, carries out experiments using the method and compares it with other methods. The results show that this method can geolocate IP more accurately.
